This place is the real deal. All your diner favorites served at your car window. The corn dogs are hand dipped. Milkshakes are the best in town!!
The last 2 times I have been we left, when it takes over 25 minutes to get a diet coke, burger and rings.... That never showed up....
No frills drive-in serving frozen commercial food. It was properly cooked and good for a quick bite since there is nothing else in the area. They only accept cash. Car hops aren't on skates, which is a shame-- it is after all a part of the allure of drive-in diners. Staff wasn't exactly friendly. A $3 tip on a $10 chicken tenders fry plate along with a large Coke went without thanks. Refills on soda are charged for at full price.
I have been going to Carl's drive In for years. The food is amazing, I haven't found anywhere else to beat them as far as taste or price. They are really cheap and affordable. The staff always has a good attitude, the wait maybe a issue if they are really busy. But I think it is definitely worth the wait.
Watched 3 cars come and get food while we waited...? Called in to confirm the order they were clueless. We just left...
Without a doubt the worst food I have ever had. I had for years passed this little local drive-in and saw lots of cars there and wanted to stop and try it. Finally the opportunity came and I was excited to try Carl's. Had a cheeseburger and onion rings. I could not eat the hamburger. The meat was so thin you could hardly tell there was any at all. The half green tomato had a large core in it and couldn't be eaten. The lettuce was beginning to rot. The only reason I gave the one star is because I did eat the onion rings. I also had a strawberry shake that I only took one sip of and threw it out. It was like flavored water ice instead of ice cream. Sorry to have to give this bad review but I was sooooo disappointed.
I am not sure what the hype is about this place. Food is average taste at best and is not cheap.
